50 Cent Celebrates Success Of '50 Cent Action' TV Channel: 'I Got More Coming
Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson's foray into television with the "50 Cent Action" channel on Roku has rapidly gained traction, securing a position in the top 5% among over 500 channels on the platform. Launched in December, this Free Ad-supported Streaming Television (FAST) channel showcases a selection of 50 Cent's preferred films and series from the Lionsgate library, including more than a dozen movies featuring the artist himself, as well as episodes from his acclaimed STARZ series, "Power."
In a recent Instagram update dated April 2, 50 Cent expressed his enthusiasm about the channel's performance and hinted at future expansions, stating his intent to broaden the channel's availability and urging followers to "stay tuned."
Beyond his television ventures, 50 Cent is extending his business footprint into Shreveport, Louisiana. Already leasing a substantial film and TV studio in the city, he received approval in March from the Shreveport City Council to transform the Stageworks building into a modern sports and entertainment venue. This facility is set to accommodate events such as basketball, volleyball, boxing, MMA, concerts, car exhibitions, and conventions. Under a 30-year lease agreement, with an option to extend for an additional 15 years, his G-Unit Films & Television company will pay a nominal rent of $200 per month and will assume responsibility for all maintenance and operational expenses.
At the council meeting, 50 Cent conveyed his growing connection to Shreveport, remarking, "It feels like home for me, and eventually it’ll be home because I have some work to do." He also assured council members of his commitment to the city's development, promising to "over deliver with Shreveport."
