Are Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg Snubbing Warren G? Rumors Swirl Around Silent Rift

Longtime West Coast hip-hop figure Warren G has sparked conversation across the rap community after candidly revealing that he no longer has a relationship with Dr. Dre or Snoop Dogg—two of his closest former collaborators and friends.

Appearing on the Ugly Monkey podcast, the Regulate rapper and Dre’s step-brother didn’t hold back as he detailed his emotional distance from the duo. While careful to avoid sounding bitter, Warren admitted that being left out of recent events and projects has left him feeling sidelined.

“Snoop and Dre get down and they doing things and it’s no diss to neither one of them or anything like that,” he said. “But it’s like, y’all could call Warren to come do a cameo or come hang out or something. I don’t want no money or nothing from nobody—just call me to be around.”

The exclusion, he said, came into sharp focus during the iconic Super Bowl LVI halftime show in 2022, where Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg shared the stage with Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, and 50 Cent. Though Warren was invited to attend the game, he claimed he was unable to gain backstage access—even after reaching out to everyone he knew.

“I was trying to get downstairs, to get down in the back, ’cause I had my son with me and he was home from the NFL,” he explained. “So I was like, ‘I’m going to take my son down there so he could see Dre and see Snoop and everybody.’ ’Cause he hadn’t seen him since he was in the NFL. So I couldn’t even get backstage. I called everybody I knew. Nobody would answer their phones.”

“I didn’t give a fuck about performing,” he added. “I just wanted to take my son down there to see all my folks and see everybody.”

So far, neither Snoop nor Dre has responded publicly to Warren G’s comments.

This isn’t the first time Warren has found himself dragged into headline-grabbing drama. Just last year, he was forced to shut down a claim made by former Death Row Records boss Suge Knight, who alleged on his Collect Call podcast that Dr. Dre once physically assaulted Warren during the label’s heyday.

“You know when you was trying to use the phone when you wasn’t supposed to in front of Andre [Dr. Dre] — your brother — slapped your ass around so much you start saying, ‘Okay blood. Okay blood. Please don’t do it no more, I’m sorry,’” Suge claimed.

Warren responded with a sharp denial, saying: “Suge, you right. History would repeat itself, because n-gga, you wasn’t the only n-gga in the room. You wasn’t by yourself. It was other people in the room too. I’m not gonna say no names because like you said, we don’t talk… So why you on here talking? Let that shit go, man.”

As fans and industry insiders speculate on the state of the relationship between these legendary West Coast artists, Warren G’s comments have added a new layer of complexity to one of hip-hop’s most iconic alliances.
