Kanye West’s Upcoming Album Cuck Faces Possible Ban in Russia Over Alleged Nazi References

Kanye West’s upcoming album Cuck may not see a release in Russia amid growing controversy. A formal request has reportedly been submitted to the country’s media regulator calling for a ban on the project, citing several serious concerns.
According to reports from Kurrco, the request alleges that Cuck promotes Nazism—an offense that is illegal under Russian law. Additional accusations include glorifying World War II criminals such as Adolf Hitler, promoting drug use, inciting violence, and featuring content that touches on taboo or non-traditional sexual themes, including incest and homosexuality.
Neither Kanye West nor the Russian government has officially responded to the reports at the time of writing.
Fueling the controversy is the album’s reported lead single, “Heil Hitler,” which has already been pulled from major streaming platforms in the U.S., including Spotify and Apple Music, due to its provocative title and content. Though briefly uploaded to SoundCloud, the track has since been removed. It has also faced restrictions on X (formerly Twitter), where it has been flagged for hate speech.
Kanye expressed his frustration on social media, calling out what he views as double standards in content moderation. He specifically referenced Randy Newman’s song “Rednecks,” which includes repeated use of the N-word, questioning why it remains available while his own work is being censored.
He wrote: “While ‘Rednecks’ by Randy Newman remains streamable, they’re literally keeping the n-ggas down.” Some fans have echoed West’s criticism, pointing to other historically controversial tracks like John Lennon’s “Woman is the N-gger of the World” as examples of inconsistency by streaming platforms.
As Cuck remains without a confirmed release strategy and faces increasing global scrutiny, Kanye West’s latest project continues to stir debate over freedom of expression, platform responsibility, and the limits of artistic provocation.
