During a stop on his Grand National Tour with SZA, Kendrick made history by delivering the highest-grossing concert ever by a Black male artist, whether headlining or co-headlining. The show took place on April 26 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, pulling in a jaw-dropping $11.822 million in one night.
This massive achievement surpasses the previous record held by The Weeknd, whose 2022 SoFi Stadium performance brought in $9.8 million.
But the wins don’t stop there.
Kendrick and SZA's smash hit “Luther” has now topped the Billboard Hot 100 for 11 consecutive weeks, tying with Diddy and Faith Evans’ 1997 anthem “I’ll Be Missing You.” It’s a huge milestone—marking the longest run at No. 1 for a duet by co-billed solo male and female artists. It’s also the longest-running chart-topper for both Kendrick and SZA individually.
The Grand National Tour launched with a bang in Minneapolis, where Kendrick broke another major record—this time surpassing Eminem for the highest-grossing rap concert of all time. That opening night brought in over $9.1 million from more than 47,000 fans, officially making it the first rap concert to break the $9 million mark.
And the year isn’t over.
Kendrick is set to headline Australia’s beloved Spilt Milk festival this December. After taking a break in 2024, the touring fest will return with stops across Ballarat/Wadawurrung, Perth/Whadjuk, Canberra/Ngunnawal, and the Gold Coast/Kombumerri.
Joining Kendrick on the lineup is a strong roster of Top Dawg Entertainment talent, including Doechii and ScHoolboy Q. Fans can also expect performances from Euphoria star Dominic Fike, viral sensation Nessa Barrett, and rising artist d4vd.
Spilt Milk kicks off on December 6, wrapping up on December 14—capping off an extraordinary year for one of hip hop’s greatest modern icons.
