Rapper Finesse2Tymes Arrested After Alleged Probation Breach

Finesse2Tymes Held in Federal Custody Over Alleged Probation Violations, Faces Separate Lawsuit for 2023 Nightclub Shooting Incident

Rapper Finesse2Tymes has found himself back in legal trouble. He is currently being held in federal custody after allegedly violating the terms of his supervised release on multiple occasions, according to a report from TMZ. The Memphis native reportedly turned himself in to authorities on Friday, May 2.

Prosecutors claim the rapper — real name Ricky Hampton — violated his supervised release three times. These violations include two failed drug tests, one in 2022 and another in 2024, both of which allegedly came back positive for marijuana. The third violation involves an arrest earlier this year for making alleged terroristic threats.

That particular incident centers around a dispute involving his former artist, King. The young artist’s guardian alleged that Finesse2Tymes threatened to pull a gun on her during an argument related to the minor, further complicating his legal standing.

Finesse2Tymes has been on supervised release since July 2022 after serving nearly four years of a five-year sentence for unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His next court hearing is scheduled for May 8, where he is expected to respond to the allegations and possibly learn his fate regarding the alleged violations.

In a separate legal matter, the rapper is also facing a civil lawsuit stemming from a violent incident that occurred during an afterparty in June 2023. The altercation took place at a nightclub in Decatur, Georgia, during an afterparty for Birthday Bash Weekend, an annual music event in Atlanta.

Ernest Flores, who claims he was working as Finesse2Tymes' driver that night, alleges that he was shot in the head during a shooting that erupted inside the venue around 3 AM. According to the lawsuit, which was first filed against the now-shuttered venue’s owners in October 2023 and later amended in January 2024, Finesse2Tymes was added as a defendant for his alleged failure to help maintain order or intervene in the escalating chaos.

TMZ reports that the complaint accuses both the rapper and the venue of negligence, stating that the establishment knowingly proceeded with the event despite a high risk of violence due to the anticipated large crowd. Five people were reportedly shot during the melee, with Flores providing photographic evidence of his injuries as part of the suit.

As the legal battles mount, Finesse2Tymes’ future remains uncertain, with both criminal and civil cases now looming over his career.
