Young Thug Billboards Tease Possible New Album Release Next Month

Young Thug’s long-awaited new album seems to be on the horizon, with recent signs pointing to a potential release soon.

Earlier this week, fans spotted a mysterious billboard that reads: “UNIVERSE HAS BEEN TOO QUIET. UNTIL NOW. UY SCUTI.” At the bottom, it hints at a May 2025 release, though the exact date is obscured with question marks.

The teaser follows Thug’s recent appearance at the Miami Heat vs. Golden State Warriors game, where he was seen holding up a jersey that read “UY SCUTI #5,” fueling speculation that Uy Scuti is the name of his next project — his first since being released from jail.

Just last month, Thugger stirred up social media after a fan compared him to Playboi Carti regarding delays in dropping new music. Thug responded on X, writing: “Yall mfers goin have to beg me to drop this shit nocizzy.”

One fan replied with: “U NOT CARTI LIL BRA,” alluding to Carti’s infamous album delays. Thug wasn’t having it and clapped back: “I wonder who’s couch you’re on tweeting this.”

The comeback quickly went viral, amassing over 100,000 likes, prompting the fan to issue a formal apology:
“Dear Young Thug (Uy Scuti, King Spider, Jeffery, Sex, Thugger), I want to sincerely apologize for the disrespectful comment I made... You are a trailblazer, a legend, and an artist whose influence has shaped music in ways that go far beyond comparison.”

This online exchange adds even more buzz to what seems to be the early rollout of Uy Scuti. Interestingly, “Uy Scuti” is also the name of a massive supergiant star — and now an Instagram account that only follows Young Thug, who follows it back. The account hasn't posted yet, but fans believe it’s tied to the upcoming album, a follow-up to 2023’s Business Is Business.

Thugger himself added fuel to the speculation by tweeting: “KING SPIDER THE BIGGEST STAR.”
