Young Thug Roars Back With “Money On Money,” the Explosive First Glimpse of *UY SCUTI*

Young Thug is officially back—and he’s not wasting any time reminding the world why he remains one of Atlanta’s most magnetic forces in hip-hop. After a long-awaited return, Thugger has dropped “Money On Money,” his first lead single since being released, and he's brought along none other than Future to help him kick off the UY SCUTI era with a bang.

Released Friday (April 25), “Money On Money” arrives with a high-energy visual that feels more like a statement than a music video. Directed with cinematic flair, the video finds the duo tearing through a gritty shipyard in a stripped-down Lamborghini, spitting high-octane bars about reckless spending and street loyalty. Produced by Southside and Wheezy, the track is loaded with thumping 808s, razor-sharp hi-hats, and that signature ATL grit fans have come to expect from both rappers.

Stylistically, the visual calls back to Kanye West and JAY-Z’s iconic “Otis” video—complete with fire, fast cars, and models hanging out the back seat—except this time with a more raw, Southern twist. It’s a not-so-subtle reminder that when Future and Thug link up, they don’t just create songs—they create moments.

Lyrically, Young Thug wastes no time addressing what fans have been speculating about for months. “These fk ngas tellin' for nothin', and I gotta be the one callin' 'em friend,” he raps on the hook, before following up with the biting, “Brother, you a rat / Twin, you a pack.” The internet was quick to connect the dots, with many interpreting the bars as a possible jab at Gunna, who took an Alford plea deal during the YSL RICO case. While Thug never names names, the lines are already sparking fresh debate online.

Interestingly, despite all the speculation surrounding Gunna’s deal, Thug and several of his co-defendants ended up returning home on probation. In hindsight, some fans are questioning whether the plea deal had any real impact on the outcome—or if the narrative has simply been shaped by the court of public opinion.

Future, never one to miss a quotable moment, drops his own viral-ready line midway through the track: “You identify my b**ches with APs. She ain't got an AP, she is not mine. She belongs to the streets.” The lyric echoes a 2017 Instagram Story Young Thug posted featuring Future, which has since become a beloved catchphrase across social media. With this new track, they’ve officially brought that energy full circle.

“Money On Money” also marks the duo’s second link-up of 2025, following their appearance on Lil Baby’s WHAM standout, “Dum, Dumb, Dumber” back in January. But this time, it feels like more than just a feature—it’s the reintroduction of a rap heavyweight.

With UY SCUTI on the horizon, “Money On Money” sets the tone for what’s sure to be one of the year’s most anticipated hip-hop releases. It’s loud, unapologetic, and exactly what fans have been waiting for from Young Thug.

Welcome back, Thugger.
